I know I’ve said it once, but…
Happy Valentine’s Day. Especially to all you folks out there who’ve been married for a while! Take the time out today to break down your pride, to ignore whatever resentment, to defy your culture, to tell the dignity that comes with age to bugger off, and just say “I love you” to your companion for life.
You don’t want to know the kind of hoops I had to jump through to get this photo, but I’m willing to bet that they won’t regret having walked out in the ice and snow years from now when they look at this. Heck, they probably won’t even remember how cold it was. All they’ll remember is how warm their affections were.
And that’s the whole point.
